Rare Genetic Disease Support Groups

Finding help and community when facing a rare genetic condition can feel overwhelming and isolating. At Brighter Hope Foundation, we understand the unique challenges faced by individuals and families when dealing with ENPP1 Deficiency or ABCC6 Deficiency – conditions that can lead to Generalized Arterial Calcification of Infancy (GACI).  ENPP1 Deficiency can also cause Autosomal Recessive Hypophosphatemic Rickets Type 2 (ARHR2). That’s why we are dedicated to offering comprehensive rare genetic disease support that connects families, builds awareness, and provides access to trusted information and resources.

Who We Support

Brighter Hope Foundation is a nonprofit organization created by parents and advocates who deeply understand the realities of living with rare diseases. We specifically support individuals and families affected by:

  • Generalized Arterial Calcification of Infancy (GACI)
  • Autosomal Recessive Hypophosphatemic Rickets Type 2 (ARHR2)
  • ENPP1 Deficiency
  • ABCC6 Deficiency

These are extremely rare, often life-threatening conditions, and most people have never heard of them until diagnosis. Through our growing network of families and healthcare professionals, we help bridge the gap between diagnosis and understanding, isolation and connection.

Rare Genetic Disease Support Groups/Help

One of the most powerful resources we offer is connection. Our rare genetic disease support groups bring together families and individuals navigating the same conditions, allowing them to share experiences, advice, and emotional support.

We provide:

  • Private online support communities for ongoing connection with other families
  • Virtual events and in-person meetups that allow families to learn, ask questions, and find community in real time
  • Peer support programs that pair newly diagnosed families with experienced volunteers
  • Educational webinars and Q&A sessions with medical professionals familiar with ENPP1 and ABCC6 Deficiencies
  • Multilingual resources to ensure global accessibility and inclusion

These support groups are not just for sharing stories—they’re a vital lifeline for emotional resilience, up-to-date medical information, and hope.

Why Rare Disease Support Matters

Families affected by rare diseases often face delayed diagnoses, limited treatment options, and a lack of understanding in the broader medical community. That’s why finding rare genetic disease support early can be life-changing.

Our community helps families:

  • Navigate the healthcare system more effectively
  • Understand treatment options and clinical trials
  • Find expert physicians and researchers in the field
  • Connect with other families facing similar experiences
  • Advocate for better care and increased research

When you join our support network, you’re not alone. You become part of a global family determined to make a difference.

Connecting Families and the Medical Community

Brighter Hope Foundation also works closely with clinicians, researchers, and healthcare providers to ensure families have access to reliable, up-to-date information. We act as a bridge between the patient community and the scientific community, promoting research, raising awareness, and improving standards of care.
