Conference:  Travel & Getting to the Conference

Travel & Getting to the Conference

Traveling internationally can feel overwhelming, especially when managing medical needs or traveling with children. This guide is designed to help make your journey to the Brighter Hope Foundation conference as smooth as possible.  We are excited to welcome families from around the world to our Paris event. Below is helpful information to assist with planning your trip.

Arriving in Paris

Paris is served by three main airports:

  • Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) – the largest international airport and the most common arrival airport for international travellers
  • Paris Orly Airport (ORY)
  • Paris Beauvais Airport (BVA)

Many international flights arrive at Charles de Gaulle Airport, which offers convenient train connections directly to the Disneyland Paris area.

Getting to the Disneyland Paris Area

The conference will take place near Disneyland Paris, located about 40 km (25 miles) east of central Paris.  There are several transportation options from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to the Disneyland Paris area, including:

  • High speed train: From Charles de Gaulle Airport, the TGV high-speed train can take you directly to the Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy Station in about 10-12 minutes.  The station is located just a short walk from the entrance of the Disney parks and nearby hotels.
  • Regional Train: From central Paris, you can take the RER A regional train directly to Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy Station, which is located at Disneyland Paris.  The journey takes approximately 35-40 minutes.

  • Taxi or Private Transfer: Taxis and private transfers are widely available from Paris airports and city centers. Travel time is typically 35 – 40 minutes depending on traffic.

Getting Around Once You Arrive

The Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy station is located directly next to Disneyland Paris, and many nearby hotels are connected by shuttle buses or short walking routes.  Additional transportation details will be shared once the conference hotel is finalised.

Travel Tips for Families

  • Consider arriving one day before the conference starts to allow time to adjust after international travel
  • Paris in August can be warm, so bring comfortable clothing and walking shoes
  • If you plan to visit central Paris before or after the conference, the RER train network makes it easy to travel between the city and Disneyland Paris.

Passports, Visas & Travel Documents

All international travellers should ensure that their passports are valid for travel and check visa requirements for entering France if applicable.  Families are responsible for obtaining any travel required documents prior to departure.
